29th Nov

All set for this morning's online mindfulness session, the 4th for this client. Meetings can be ad-hoc or weekly if you feel you need that level of support. Although my office is quite, and I'm always alone, I like wearing earphones, so that if there are any outside noises, hopefully no knocks at the door, as I put a notice on the door, it blocks them all out from our conversation and keeps us on track and focused.

It is a wonderful feeling, hearing, and knowing that you've helped someone. So it is great to get some very positive feedback and hear a client say they want to see you next week too. Through practical mindfulness therapy, people begin to understand what they're reality actually is and not what they think it might be next week or next month or what it was years ago. I've been covering aspects of people's pasts, even simple things which knowling are holding them back. Realising you're not that person anymore and all kinds of things are said to us when we are younger, enables us to find some peace with it and live more in today with a much clearer and happier path forward.

It takes practice, lots of it, to keep telling yourself and understanding that you can change the way you think, feel, and respond, and by reminding yourself that in this moment in time... you're ok.

I've re-activated my Bark.com this week. Seeking to engage with new clients in need of practical support. I joined originally for my design business about 8 years, and now focus solely on Mindfulness. Excited to listen to and assist people in improving their daily coping mechanisms.

A walk and talk in-person meeting.

I am pleased to meet up with a client this week for our second in-person meeting. I want to understand how they have progressed since our initial discussion, where they seemed very open to addressing obstacles and seeking happiness after a difficult year. The core discovery was accepting all that had happened in their lives and the realisation that, in order to move on, they needed to find peace and not wish for it all to be different.

Out and about today for an hour delivering leaflets locally. Social media is all well and good, but there are a lot of people who like a piece of paper with information on it - Oct 16th 2025.

I've delivered some of my main leaflets and some of my new ones that reach out to the elderly in their own homes.

I met a lovely couple at a local village event last weekend who asked me to drop by when I had my leaflets printed, so they have one too!

Last week, I spent a very worthwhile hour with a client walking and talking, working through their issues and how they felt about a personal matter. I really feel we made progress in understanding a difficult situation and discovered a new approach to comprehend it and gradually move ahead.

IF YOU NEED HELP RIGHT NOW

In the meantime, if you need a quick fix, if it's all getting too much for you, consider getting outside and going for a walk. Take a few deep breaths before you head out, absorb the sounds around you, the freshness of the air, and the simple peace it brings, if only for a short time.
